10.9.2 Apple Mail Unread Count Error

For some reason since the 10.9.2 update, mail appears to not display the proper unread count.

I've checked the setting and it is set to display.

I have also ran the terminal command "mv ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope* ~/Desktop" which works temporarily and then it goes back to not displaying the unread count.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Is your email provider gmail? I still have the problem of mail nit being marked read correctly on my MacMini. According to Apple, the problem is on Googles side.

According to the person I spoke with at Apple (upper level tech), he indicated that Google is aware and working on the problem.
