Best way to find new things is to have someone show you, so if you could, list 10 (or as many as you can) apps that you need / like/ etc

links are great, so are pics.

thanks

does anyone have anyone more detailed input on some must have apps. And could you try to list some more recent ones, i have gone through the links and most of the apps listed are pretty old and or already installed on my mac(the more common ones)

How about some underrated or uncommon apps that aren't as popular or well known?

Any input would be appreciated

cyberduck
mac office
xcode
firefox

other programs I could suggest are just more programming stuff.

TextExpander
Quicksilver
iWork
Mac Office 2008 (though i more and more prefer iWork)
Mailplane (if you use Gmail)
AppZapper
VLC
Google Chrome (best browser IMO)
VMWare Fusion
BetterTouchTool
JDownloader
Transmission

Just had a look at GGJstudios links, and i also love these apps:

AppFresh
StuffIt (mostly use Expander)
Adium
Little Snitch
Delicious Library
HandBreak
Toast Titanium
Growl!!! (awesome)
DropBox
Things

Apps I use the most:

1. Cleanmymac (uninstall app/cleanup) $
2. Adium (chat)
3. Safari (browser)
4. MplayerX (movies)
5. Transmission (torrents)
6. iTunes (music)
7. istat menus (activity monitor, etc.) $
8. Vmware Fusion (to run Windows/Ubuntu) $
9. gfxcardstatus (gpu changer)
10. Bettertouchtool (trackpad gestures)
