Has anyone confirmed that the 6th gen ipad (non-pro) plays 10bit HEVC video with hardware decoding? If so, 1080p?

I know the Apple site suggests that it's capable, and that with iOS11 most recent ipads will using software decoding, but I'm specifically interested in whether hardware decoding has been confirmed to work on this model.

A bit of search on MR give you the answer.

What You Need to Know About HEVC Video in macOS High Sierra and iOS 11 - MacRumors

All iOS devices running iOS 11 and all Macs on High Sierra will support HEVC playback, with encoding/decoding hardware acceleration on newer iOS devices and the latest 2017 Macs offering faster performance combined with less battery drain.

Although tech spec on iPad 6 Gen did not list compatibility with HEVC specifically, A10 Fusion should allow this functionality.

Yes - I've read the specs, as I mentioned above. The key word there is "should". I'm just asking for someone who actually owns one to confirm that it actually worked out, and it works with 10bit content, preferably at 1080p.
