Has anyone heard of http://www.iphoneapps.org/? They have a video recorder, MMS, Youtube Downloader, Screen Capture, SNES emulator, Custom Ringtone and VNC. I don't think they are allowed to sell the SNES emulator, but who knows. I'm not sure if this is legit or not. But I wouldn't think that nintendo would give them the rights to sell the SNES emulator.

They are selling free applications for a jailbroken iPhone/iPod Touch for a price.

I don't thinks so. This is from their FAQ.
Does my iphone have to be unlocked to install your applications?
Your iphone does not have to be unlocked to install our applications.

By unlocked I'm assuming they mean Jailbroken, but I could be wrong.

Probably not. You can jailbreak without unlocking.

Emulators are legal. It is illegal to own ROMs that you have illegally obtained, however.

All of those are free except the videorecorder, thats $19.95. Its just like those people on Ebay who sell unlocking tools for $10 bucks when you can do it yourself for free with a little research at modmyifone.com

yeah, same kind of thing
although i thought selling/excepting money for unlocking was illegal. maybe im wrong though
and that video recorder can be free, although the free version has a recording limit afaik - because i didnt pay for it and got it through installer

I can't believe they're selling free apps that people put their hard work into, and claiming that their "developers" were "responsible for putting it together"

Sickening.

Or they could be tricky! They could mean "yeah...you don't need to unlock your iPhone...but you need to jailbreak it!"
They get sued.
"Well, we never said it didn't need to be jailbroken!"
