Whats this I hear about backgrounding apps only staying active for 10 mins? Is this true for all api's?

For example task completion - will that only stay in the background for 10 mins if i dont open it again

How about gps, trapster etc will they stop backgrounding after 10 mins?

And the likes of tuneinradio, will the stream continue after 10 mins?

The 10 minute limit applies only to apps that use the "task completion" option. For example, a flickr app that uploads your photos in the background. It must complete in 10 minutes after going into the background.

This does not apply to music, voip, or GPS.

So if i'm uploading a video to youtube that takes 20 minutes i have to open it up after 10 mins otherwise it will fail.
