Has anyone sucessfully used the 10% off one single item coupon on a new ipad? Also, can I use it and trade in a device?

10% Movers Coupon Best Buy

Yes I used one online and saved $60

Also, prolly best to open just one thread on the same question.

Fail

I tried the one I received from the USPS movers page online and they wouldn't take it. The guy wouldn't even scan it and let the computer decide. I tried at the Federal Way store south of Seattle. :(

Try another store/another rep. I had the same issue at my local Best Buy who is notorious for not taking coupons or price matching. I called over the manager and he didn't want to scan the coupon when I bought my iPad mini 2 so I pulled up the terms on my iPhone and read them to him. When he didn't believe me, I started reading them to him again. Finally he stopped me and scanned it. Sure enough the system took it along with the student discount.

I think the reason he decided to just go ahead and scan it and let the computer figure it out was they only had 2 cashiers on duty and me holding up the line was causing a queue of about 10 people.

The whole thing is stupid. I'm sure it would be simple for them to blacklist items like apple devices, but they didn't. Don't see why select stores would protest the whole thing.

It works. But at least with me not without a little drama. The store manager was telling me all sorts of reasons why it wouldn't/shouldn't work. In a calm voice I asked him to scan it and see if the machine would take it. It did.

Yes you can use the trade-in device discount. That is issued as another single-use coupon.

Here's the "version" of the movers packet you're looking for. Apparently there are versions out there that don't have the coupon.

And when you go to the web page mentioned on the coupon for the list of exclusions, there is no exclusion for Apple products, only Apple-branded accessories.

Worked like a charm for me. Teenager in the Apple section hardly looked over my iPad 3 trade in and scanned the movers without any fuss. Man this thing is so much faster than my iPad 3! ~$440 for a new 128GB iPad - not bad!

No luck here. The cashier scanned the coupon and it didn't do anything to the price. The manager came over and told me it was just for appliances. I argued with her that it wasn't only for appliances, but she wouldn't back down. I left without the iPad and went to the Apple Store where I was treated a lot better. Best Buy sucks.

I used it on my iPad Air 2 in Tempe, AZ, saved $73 on the 64GB cellular version. However, the coupon did not combine with the student price in their computer, so of course I chose $73 off over $20 off, still a sweet deal IMO.

My local Best Buy finally got in the 128GB Space Gray that I was after, so I used the movers coupon. No hassle. He read the coupon, saw that it had no restrictions on what I was purchasing, and I saved $70. He was professional and quick about the whole thing.

Not sure if this helps, but do the people on the floor make any commission? I grabbed a guy standing in the tablet area (not the Samsung guy) and told him what I wanted. He went over to the locked up cages holding the Air 2 models and grabbed it, then helped me find which Smart Case was the new one, and then walked me over to the customer service desk where he checked me out. If he gets a commission he probably didn't want to start any trouble. I would have walked and either come back later, or finally give in and order from the Apple Store with the higher ed discount and little bit lower taxes.

Best Buy employees do not get a commission. And I hope they never do. I've walked into HH Greg one time and they are complete salesman-y that it totally turned me off and I will never walk in there again.

From what i know - a manager or someone higher up has to do the trade-in though.

Picked one up this morning with the mover's coupon. I got a 64GB space gray wifi model which seems to be pretty hard to come by (I waited outside about 30 mins before opening). Had no issues using the coupon. It scanned and took off $60 without any input from the cashier.

Impressions: This thing is so slim and light! It feels like a mini compared to my old iPad3. :)

Success here too. Traded in my iPad Air and 5s that had been sitting on Craigslist for too long. Got to keep all my accessories, got the $50 bonus, and the 10% mover's coupon. 64GB wifi space grey was finally in stock.

I'm interested upgrading my original iPad mini for a 64GB wifi Air 2. Worth it?

The nearest Best Buy is about an hour from where I live, so I'd potentially like to order online and pick up in store. The 10% coupon I have has an online code, and BestBuy.com is accepting it and applying the discount. If I make the purchase online, and then take my iPad mini to the store to trade-in and pick up the Air 2, will the folks there be able to rework the transaction to apply the gift card from the trade in?

So essentially:
I order online and get charged $585.21 (64GB wifi - 10% coupon). Then I go to the store and trade in my mini. Can they retroactively apply the gift card and change the credit card to approximately $385?

You would have to drive in anyway, so why order online? I wouldn't do it. Just call and make sure they will accept whatever you have and they have the model you have and then go do it.

I just bought my ipad air from bestbuy.com. Anybody know if you can return it, trade-in an old iPad, use the mover's coupon, and just buy back the ipad air I just returned? I'm not having much luck selling my iPad 3 on craigslist for $250, so I might as well take the $185 trade-in credit.

I used the Movers Coupon this past Saturday when BB was also giving out 50 dollars in store credit for buying an iPad. It amounted to basically getting the 100 dollars off deal they're offering on Black Friday.

I used the movers coupon plus stacked a few other discounts when I traded in my original mini. Those deals are gone now. The movers coupon should work except on the excluded BF dates.

Also, don't forget AmEx has the $25 credit when you buy $250 or more from BB. Go online and check your account, click on "offers for you" and add it to your card BEFORE you purchase. Also can be added to your card through Twitter and FB if you register your card with your account.

I went and picked up two moving coupon packages today but the best buy coupon in mine ended on 11/15. Didn't have the same dates. Should I retry and get a couple at a different post office?

The one that ended 11/15 is the older version that also includes online.

The newer one is the one he displayed in the pic. Another Post office may only have the newer version. Worth a shot.
