newegg sells the intel 520 240gb SSD for 239. I cant find much reviews on this ssd on the web specially for macs.

I heard this ssd doesnt go with advertised write speed on macs, much lower like 280mg but for read speed is good like 500mg

I have an early 2011 quad core 15 macbook pro

I also, do not see a point, if i change my macbook pro by next year to retina macbook pro. i can not put this ssd on the retina macbook pro

I do not know if i should pull the trigger on this ssd based on the good price and its size
