I searched the forums but found nothing concrete. Does anyone know for a fact whether or not I can get the rebate, as long as they are on the same receipt of course?

Thanks.

forgive me for being naive, but what is the ADC discount?

i assume you would as the rebate works with the education discount

however, we know what happens when one assumes...

Ok, here is why I'm asking. Straight from the ADC hardware page:

Please note that purchases made through the ADC Hardware Purchase Program (sometimes called "Developer Plan") are NOT eligible for most Apple or third-party promotions or rebates. You may see wording on an online Store that indicates eligibility, however, please consult the official terms and conditions of all promotional offers before placing an order. There are no refunds on items purchased through the ADC Hardware Purchase Program.

So it sounds like the rebate would not be given, but I read the rebate form and saw nothing indicative of this.

I guess my question is, has anyone successfully gotten the rebate?

EDIT:
forgive me for being naive, but what is the ADC discount?

ADC stands for Apple Developer Connection. So it's a discount offered to developers.

thanks for letting me know what it is!

after reading your quote from the page, my interpretation would be it is not eligible

sorry i couldn't be more helpful

I got the discount with a refurbed macbook. I would go on the apple store and click chat and ask a mac expert to make sure.

Adc

I had some questions regarding the purchase program itself and searched the faq's and ended up sending an email to the ADC contact and they were able to answer my questions...sometimes however they give vague answers but you might want to go that route to be sure

Pretty sure this exact topic came up over the summer, and it was decided that you weren't eligible under ADC.

A friend of mine was concerned about this same issue just last year. He was told that the rebate is not valid on ADC purchases.

Rebate Terms said:
This offer is not valid in conjunction with any other Apple, HP, Samsung, Canon, or Epson promotion or rebate offer on printers, except as specifically permitted by the terms and conditions of such other offer or promotion. This offer may be combined with other Apple promotions that do not involve printers.

Pretty cut and dry considering the FAQ at the ADC page says to consult the rebate terms and conditions. This is not like the iPod rebates which have to be used with the Educational store or anything like that. I think you are very safe using this rebate.
