Strapped for cash, but I got $100 I wanna spend on an upgrade for my 13" 2010 Macbook Pro, 2.4. I run OS X and Windows 7. I simply play WoW and CS:S and use the comp for web designing/developing. Would it be better for me to go to 8gigs ram or momentus xt?

I agree on the 8gb ram upgrade. Or if you want an alternative, and fun suggestion, get an Airport Express. Let's you play your iTunes library wirelessly thru your stereo. I use it with my iPod touch all the time. I love that thing.

If you are maxing out your RAM, then it's a great purchase. If you aren't, you aren't going to gain much performance wise so a hard drive may be the better upgrade. With that said, if you are really strapped on cash I'd spend it on food. Or beer.

if you're really strapped for cash...why not just save the money for an emergency?

HD Space isn't a huge issue, so ram it is.

Anything left over goes to beer and a super cheap hooker. Will have to leave the great high for another time.

If you're not having too may page outs as is RAM won't be worth it.

Saving up for a SSD is a better option IMO.

Get 10 friends together. Get each of them to give you $10. Problem solved. Each of those friends then finds 10 other friends and gets $10 from each. Repeat until you are assaulted by an angry and gullible idiot.

Or just get the hooker. Much better than any hard drive upgrade. She drives the upgrade hard in your pants. It is fun. Do it. Do it. Do. It.
