Well my battery wasn't charging for a week or so. A couple of hours ago I noticed that the macbook was lifted up in the front. I saw that the battery was swollen and quickly took it out as soon as I saw it. I have a Late 2006 model that is no longer under Apple Care. Expired in January of 2010. I was wondering with Apple would replace the swollen Battery for a new/refurbished one.

Couple of pictures.

Thanks

Common and known issue/fault. Some Apple stores will replace, others won't. Seems to be a hit or miss kinda thing.

Heh, that looks like my grandma's house. And why is your hand pink?

Anyway, yeah, just go to the apple store. Look for the shyest looking person, probably a girl, at the genius bar. It will be easier to get free stuff from them. :D

I called Apple the other day, no free battery but they gave me a case number for a Genius Bar appointment. Went out of Apple Store a hour ago with a free battery. :D Guy was nice.

Thanks guys! ;)
