I saw a 100GB 5400RPM 8MB buffer Seagate (at least I thought it was a Seagate) at Fry's on Friday for $199. It seemed like a pretty good deal considering the crappy 30Gb models were $120. I thought about getting it, but ram seemed much more important at the time and I didn't want to void my applecare warranty. I'm sure it would have fit in your 17 incher most all lappy hdds do. What are you upgrading from?

Your warranty will not be voided if an Apple certified technician installs the hard drive upgrade. I don't know how much the installation would run you though.
