UK - Tesco customers in for shock with 4.1 !!!!!!!

It now says Tesco's in the top left hand corner instead of O2 !!!!
Doesn't bother me in the slightest but I know of some peeps who wouldn't take out a contract with O2 if it said Tesco's on their phone.
You make no sense. Why are people in for a shock. It only says Tesco if your phone is with Tesco. If you are with O2 it still says O2.
The problem before was that because Tesco use the O2 network it said O2.
Surely people who are with Tesco aren't going to mind that their phone now says Tesco rather than O2 - if anything I'd think they would be happy.
Some peeps are snobs and don't want to advertise that they hold a contract with a supermarket. Does that make sense?

aparantly there releasing a fix and a update on giffgaff's side but have yet to see it.
still one of the best phone networks out there
Man! My cousin was laughing at me saying it will say "Tesco" and I laughed back at him when I got my phone to show him it said "O2" .. now he gets the last laugh! lol

I have worked out a fix for this.
ensure your iphone is jailbroken - For iphone 4.1 please visit www.limera1n.com
ensure your iphone has ssh installed (if not install OpenSSH from Cydia)
ssh to your iphone - login (username=root, password=alpine)
Enter the following commands

An easier option.
If you've already jailbroken, just install make it mine, simples!
It doesn't work - Not sure if it is a 4.1 issue of the fact that the carrier is TESCO. I have tested MIM thoroughly and no matter what you enter you ALWAYS end up back with TESCO!

Fake Carrier DOES work, however, Fake Carrier DOES NOT allow you to use O2 winterboard carrier logos. The fix I posted above DOES.
But thanks for the update - I will keep this in mind for the future.
