Rumblings afoot that some have experienced battery times diminishing on the iPhone after upgrading to 4.1 and 4.1 GM.

Assuming that the Gold Master is the same as the release (which it should be), curious to hear from those who have had enough experience to have formed an opinion.

If it's too early to tell, please come back and take the poll when you do have an opinion.

Given the less than stellar battery life on my iPhone 4, I'd hate to make it worse by upgrading, but I'd love to give HDR photography a go.

Opinions?

No lie - so far it "appears" my battery life is better.

But I don't have a full day to verify yet under 4.1

I base the above on the fact that normally I unplug my phone at 7am and during my commute, I use the Kindle App. My commute runs about 30 minutes and by the time I am at my office, I'm typically down to about 94-95 percent. Today I was at 99 and then Just as I was about to hit the top button it dipped to 98.

Mine is a LOT worse.

I installed the GM as soon as it was available and I noticed a dramatic drop in battery life.

Standby time is the worst - particularly overnight.

It never lasts overnight, going from ~70 to 0 in about 8 hours.

With 4.0.2 I'd only lose about 10%.

Seems kinda premature to create a poll about battery life less than 24hrs after the update was released.

my battery life is somewhat worse. Usually during my commute it goes down only 4-5% with me listening to music and playing games or browsing but today it down 16% in the same 1.5 hr. I did notice that whenever I charge the phone randomly it has an effect on the batt life so I plan on running it down and charging it back up to see.

My battery life is terrible. I reset and everything. It's 2 PM, and I'm now down to less than 25% with light usage. Normally at this time I'd be at 75%+

looks like battery percentage is not showing up correctly (either in 4.1 or 4.02)

it behaves differently from 4.02, after full day of occassional usuage it shows 50% so that means battery is still good.
