Depends Greatly On The Weather
I am currently in the UK and want to buy an unlocked iPhone 4 but all Apple Stores in London are sold out.

What do local members suggest I do to get one soon?

Thank you

try an authorised Apple reseller like Stormfront. They have lots of locations within reach of London. Give some stores a ring and see what days they get their delivery in.

Whilst you're looking it wouldn't hurt to have one on order from Apple's website in the meantime. Despite the 3 week shipping time which it says, mine was delivered within less than ten days.

The stores do get stock, but they sell out very fast. Walking in and hoping they have stock - you will never get anything. The only way is to line up for a few hours before the store even opens. This however doesn't even guarantee you getting any stock - but if there is, this will be the only way to get it. You will never be able to walk into a store and be told "oh yeah, we have a few".

depends where abouts in london you are, I walked past the apple store in kingston last week and they had a poster in the window saying they had iP4's in stock...

If you don't mind hoping on a train the lakeside store had stock yesterday.

I think the 32g delivers fairly quickly. Mine is meant to be shipped out on the 16th but the web tracking page still says it's not shipped.

wow you mean you got it after a week? that's awesome! anyone had the same thing guys?

Yes, I got the 'dispatching' notice on the 4th, and it arrived on the 7th (being specific I actually got it on the 8th as I wasnt home on the 7th and had to go to collect it from UPS the following day)

Wow, so it's possible that i get it that fast when i order online?!
That's awesome. :)

Still not sure about the size.
Can someone tell me how big the pictures and the 720p videos are that the iphone 4 takes?

If you can afford it, go for the 32GB, you wont regret it, you'll only be thinking damn i wish i got bigger you got the 16.

I was told 3 weeks delivery form Apple store UK, nearly two weeks now and still nothing so I think the 3 may be right.

So, ordered tonight.

Estimated Shipping: 14 Oct, 2010
Estimated Delivery: 18 Oct, 2010

I so hope it will get to me faster and the guys from Borderlinx are fast, too. :)

Can you still reserve the phone in store?

And how long does it take before it's ready for collection?

Just had a look on the Apple website and they are now offering the iPhone 4 with 6 months interest free credit. If they can't meet demand why would they do that?

I am currently looking at buying a new motorbike - a model which is just about to be replaced and they are now offering 0% finance in order to shift them. I am not saying they are about to "update" the iPhone 4..........

It's not as if they're trying to shift a warehouse full of stock, considering they sell as fast as they can make them, unlike with that motorbike.
