should be great as it gets better.....right now it can't identify much at all.

That is extremely cool. I've tried taking a photo, scanning barcodes, QR Codes and Chinese -> English translation. Very awesome.
 
Just found my answer. Goggles requires an auto-focusing camera to work.

This is another reason why touch 4 fails. Deliberately making it thinner so they wouldn't have to put the more expensive iPhone 4 cam in it now means a cool app is denied.

It'll be rolling out free of charge to App Stores worldwide today, but since it requires an auto-focusing camera, it's supported only on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 running iOS 4 or above. The pain of progress, we guess.
