I mean, if you like Apple-warranty-covered SSDs.

Also, it offers more workspace with 1440x900 vs 1280x800.

Oh, and it's 700g lighter and much slimmer, but that's on the house.

1.86ghz vs 2.4ghz Core2Duo doesn't make a big difference, GPU is the same, what you lose is FW800 and optical drive (not a big deal if you use it twice a year).
 
I think a real legit 2.5" SSD which one can take out and toss up against the wall (or into another machine) is alot different than the propietary stuff Apple is using.

Not for most users....or, not for most of the time....but I see your point....it's up to everyone's needs.
 
Yeah I was just looking into this, any of my friends thinking about buying a 13" MBP I would now start recommending the MBA if they don't need more than 4GB ram, an optical drive, or FW800. Not a hard sell, since a lot of "regular" users don't need those things much anymore.
