104 days left, assuming Apple will release it on the last day of the month. Anyone else trying to count down the days too? I'm not a developer but I really want some apps that aren't going to make me wonder if I voided my warranty because I installed them. Hopefully in less than a month after its release most of the current apps already out there will be re-released. :)

Thoughts?

do you know that it will take some weeks for apps to be available after the SDK is released.

Not too sure about that. I think youll be seeing apps within the first couple days of a release. They will keep getting better and better then. I cant wait for the SDK either, and i hope they release it right away.

Yeah i hope these hackers hook up with Apple and have customize and summerboard and NES approved so we can legitimately have them on our iphones

It's really too bad that Apple hasn't figured out (publicly, at least) how their SDK program is going to work. It'd be nice if people could prepare for having to register, or pay for a key, or whatever. Or, if they're going to prevent data-intensive apps like Skype.

Google is offering 10 million dollars in reward money for people developing Android apps during the same time period. Pretty tempting to make something for them, unless it's easier to make money off iPhone apps instead.

Yes, but doesn't apple have to approve all apps?

Prob. but it depends on how the Keys work.

A dev _might_ be able to put an unsigned app on his server for download.

Of course what restrictions etc. is still to be found out.

But soon, just think of all the apps there will be.

:D
