AirPrint functionality cancelled in iOS 4.2

Maybe for iPad users could be a bummer. But, better leave it for the next release if it's not going to work perfectly.
Last thing they need is more bad press.
Really, consumers are not worried about stinking AirPrint.
You know what people want? Customization!!!!
iOS 4.2. Dump AirPrint. Screw it. Give us a fully functioning BlueTooth. Ability to change your ring tones for everything. Use the dead task bar up on top for alerts and stop with the intrusive bubbles.
That's how you win people. AirPrint. Come on. There are so many other things they can be working on.

You don't have the GM of 10.6.5 though. Developers with access to the latest seeds are reporting Apple has removed it.
You may be right, but perhaps that's why they seeded 10.6.6 even before 10.6.5 is released? Anyone checked those binaries?
Perhaps they removed it because it's not up to snuff, so they're buying themselves some time to get it right.
Either that, or printer manufacturers got Jobs to purposely delay it in order to solidify some sales with the new AirPrint-compatible printers. Wouldn't that be a heck of a conspiracy theory!

Weirdly enough that's not the business model of printer manufacturers. They want you to use the same printer for years because that's where they make their money. The last thing they want is you upgrading your printer on a constant basis.
Printer hardware is cheap for a reason.
One of my iPad apps today had an update saying it was for printing in 4.2. So it seems that developer expects it to be there.

iOS 4.2 supports AirPrint on all of the devices that are supposed to support it.
What HAS been pulled is support for printing to a printer that is connected to a computer (using either iTunes 10.1 on Windows or Mac OS X 10.6.5).
That leaves support for a handful of HP printers that support direct printing.
So with the three files going around, will AirPrint work with the 2nd GM and therefore final release of 4.2 and the final iTunes, or is one better off using the first GM of 4.2 and beta 2 of iTunes?
