I really hope he wins this one.

I'm not really familiar with PS3 jailbreaking, but he says in the interview that his code doesn't allow for piracy, or that he attempted to block piracy. So I'm assuming that the pirates got the code and made it capable of playing pirated games right?

If this is the case, I'm sure he will win.

Yeah, he exudes nerd, but he's quite eloquent and appears overall very endearing and fun.

He's changed a lot in appearance (his hair) since the last time I saw him on network TV talking about his iPhone unlock.

quite eloquent? seriously? He looks much better with short hair for sure.

He should win this lawsuit. I've always liked Geohot... He's been great for the hacking scene. I loved when he didn't wait around for the dev team to release a jailbreak. Seems like a good guy.

"It's about whether you really own the device that you purchased" is the most important point that needs to be made.

The problem is win or lose you lose financially. Unless he gets Pro Bono help from a big law firm that wants the publicity it is going to cost him dearly in legal fees.

this is a fairly big deal a David and Goliath story I have no doubt that some Lawyers will volunteer to help Hotz. It would be big for any Lawyer to go against Sony legal team if they won. this could be Geohotz biggest contribution too hacking to date. I did think he matured allot I still think he is to cocky for his own good. Then again I guess I would be too.
