No, at least not from Apple.

The folks at XBMC are looking into whether this is a hardware limitation or a software limitation, but at this point, no one knows. Apparently, the Apple TV can decode 1080p files but it is not possible to output anything above 720p.

Bottom line: I wouldn't count on it.
