1080p h264 Playback on 4S ?

Maybe i'm missing something here, but it seems to me that the iPhone 4S will playback 1080P video in H264, whereas the iPad 2 seems limited to 720p.

Anyone else seeing this ? I can't make sense of it. The IP4S is almost definitely using a down clocked A5 compared to iPad 2.
