Im having the hardest time trying to figure out what is the best file format option in Mpeg StreamClip to produce music videos & short films...

I need to convert 1080p HD Mpeg 4 to a FC format that doesnt reduce the quality or footage?
:confused::apple:

Cam:Sony Bloggie Touch
FCE/FCP
MacBook Pro
2.66GHz Intel Core i7
4 GB 1066Mhz DDR3
Intel HD Grap

If you have FCE, Apple Intermediate Codec with AIFF 48kHz audio. If you have FCP 7, ProRes LT with AIFF 48kHz audio.

Thanx Keith I received helped with this earlier...

Is there any other compression that I could use so i dont have to render every clip before I even do any editing?

There should be no rendering necessary with the above unless you're changing other settings during the transcode or your sequence settings don't match your footage.

Which do you have, FCP or FCE? Can you post some screencaps of your sequence, transcode and original footage settings?

Maybe this thread from post #3 onwards can shed some light.
