1080p movies on iMac. Where? How?

Hello.

I want to buy and watch 1080p movies on my iMac. I can steal MKVs from torrent sites if I want, but I don't like to steal stuff off the Internets anymore (gettin' old I guess).

I am presented with a dilemma. iTunes movies only go up to a measly 720p, and I'm pretty sure I can't play Blu-Ray videos on the integrated optical drive on the iMac.

So, is there an online place to buy 1080p videos, or a USB/TB/Firewire compatible BluRay disk drive that I could buy and connect to my comp?

Other thoughts? I am in no way open to the idea of going with 720p, so no need to suggest that kind of solution.




EDIT: PS I have Windows 7 installed also, so I'm open to solutions involving the other OS.

Any USB BluRay drive will work, though I don't know, if you can simply play those back via VLC Player or some other player that easily.
You may have to transcode the video first via MakeMKV.

You could always pick up an external BluRay and then use http://www.macblurayplayer.com/.

I'm looking to find a good slimline slot loading BluRay burner to put in mine soon.
