With my iPhone 4, I could only use 720p video through iTunes.

With my iPhone 4S, I can watch 1080p video directly through iTunes. I suddenly found a lot of Lonely Island HD videos on my phone that weren't there before.

Is this attributed to the A5 or iOS 5? I know the A4 had no problem playing back 1080. Can anyone tell me if it works for the iPad 2 and 1? Thanks.
