I have recently bought the top model 13 inch late 2013 macbook pro retina. It has 2.6ghz i5 8gb of ram and 500gb SSD. I expected that this would be able to run 1080p videos on youtube on full screen without slow down. 720p works fine. Is anyone else having this problem do i need to install some certain type of driver to help performance. I have div x, flash player installed.

Thanks.

how fast is your internet on http://www.speedtest.net/

Download and play from a local file, if OK it is the internet somewhere between you and the server, you don't have 50Mb link to the entire internet content.

I firmly believe it to be YouTube/your internet as I can stream 1080p to my HDTV with no jumps/jitters on my mid-2012 cMBP.

True. Youtube causes a lot of people problems on many devices at times.

Internet. My 2007 BlackBook can run 1080 youtube videos fine.
