For anyone interested, I had a win today by swapping my 802.11g router with my Airport Express basestation to become the main home wireless network, ran it up as 802.11n and WOW, what an improvement.
My main target was improving YouTube playback on the Ipad and the result bolstered my ATV2 too. So now a movie played from itunes on my PC loads really quick.
So if you are thinking of 802.11n, I recommend trying it.
