I am so stupid. I took picture by picture and now, having over 10 GByte of pictures in iphoto.
I made backups..yes I did, with external HD...but the problem is that in iPhoto everything is nicely sorted, but after transfering to HD and back, this seems to be lost.
Now, I need to upgrade either the harddisk or even the macbook. But I dont like to loose the nicely ordered pictures, all the albums and so on.
Anyone has goooood idea?

iphoto is 6.0.6
on OS 10.3.9 (oldies but goldies)
 OS is old, but to upgrade, I have to make a totally new installation for 10.5.
There is no upgrade from 10.3.9 to 10.5 supported. That means cleaning the HD or better to take a new HD with much more Gbytes and then, storing back the iphoto data (and this is the question, how????).

I don't know what to tell you. What's nice about the new iPhoto is the entire library is in one package, so you really can't get unorganized like you have.
