I don’t see an 11.1 Forum yet, but this pertains to Public Release Big Sur 11.1 clean-installed on MacBook Air 2016. To say it slowed to a crawl would be putting it nicely. Catalina was fast. So I’m on the trajectory of wiping and clean installing Catalina

if there is a “definitive thread” somewhere on optimization, or workarounds for bugs that result in this poor performance please post link or information
