11" Air in Germany

Hello All,

Firstly I would like to apologize if I'am posting in the wrong section.

Anyways, I'm currently living in Germany and planning on buying my first apple product.

I will purchase a 11" Macbook Air at MediaMarkt.

But the problem is that the Keyboard will be in German? As well as Lion?
The keyboard isn't such a big deal because I can change the configurations correct? But what about the OS? Is changing the OS language to English possible?

As I said before this will be my first apple product, I have very few experience with the OS.

I should buy the laptop tomorrow, latest Friday.

You can change the keyboard configuration to basically any language you want.
 
Just keep in mind that the German keyboard layout has more differences than just being qwertz instead of qwerty. Most of the special characters are also on different keys.

Yep, whilst you can change the layout in the software, the physical keys will still have the German layout, so it may be confusing, unless you can type touch. I would check out the Apple website in Germany. You should be able to order one with a US or UK layout.

On the UK Apple store website I can choose from UK, German, French or US physical keyboards.
 
You can just buy on the Apple.de website. There you can select between

keyboard English international

and


keyboard US


you can google what the difference is between these.
