11" i7 on Apple Store

Hello all,

I'm from Brazil and I'll be traveling to California in a couple of weeks. I want to buy the 11" MBA, but I want to upgrade it to the i7.

Is it possible to find it on an apple store? I will visit Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. I even tried buying it on Macmall.com and have it shipped to a friend in the US, but they won't accept payments from outside the US.

Any thoughts on how can I get my hands on this machine?

google the closest apple store from where you gonna be staying and once you're here just go and buy it, they have them in stock $1,349 with 128GB SSD and 4GB DDR3.
 
Thanks, I Thought that any modification, like adding a different CPU or more storage or memory could only be done online.

Anychance it could also be found on stores other than Apple (such as BestBuy)?

the store i went to only had the 256 gb and i7 not the 128 gb i7. so might wanna check first.
 
that is truth @Razzz thanks for pointing that out. the availability depends on store stock and it is not guarantied that the store will have some in stock. you cant always contact the store by email before hand.
 
I bought a 13" Ultimate from the Apple Store, but decided to stop by BestBuy first. Not sure if this is 100% accurate but they told me at that Best Buy that they do not carry an i7 at Best Buys.

They do carry i7 at my best buy so that is not entirely accurate. Just call the stores ahead of time
 
Most Apple stores in big cities will have the i7 with a 256GB SSD, but finding the 128GB SSD model might be more difficult.
 
I doubt any store carries the 128 GB i7. As far as I know it's a custom configuration and the stores only carry the 256 GB i7.

The 11", 128gb i7 should Only be available online as it's not the 'ultimate' spec...

Thanks for the tip, but I'm having a hard time finding the stores' emails. I guess I`ll have to trying calling them up beforehand.
