Hello all!,
Lately I have been experiencing more issues with a Cinema Display HD 23 attached to my 2011 Macbook Pro.
The screen will flicker, which I guess happened before, but it never really bothered me. Then over time, my screen will go black for a min or so, then come back up. I took it to the Apple store and had the Logic board replaced. I bring it home and start using it again, and I experience the same issues plus a new one; The screen will go granie (like old analog tv's with no signal) for a few secs every 5 mins or so.
While the MBP was at the Apple Store, I used a PowerPC G5 as a backup machine with the Cinema Display for a few days and had no issues what-so-ever.
At this point it would basically be another week w/o my machine, what else can they do to "fix it".
I have all the updates installed and the machine seems to be working fine, except for this nasty issue. I remember there was a patch/fix for this, did it ever fixed the issue?
EDIT: I am using the apple branded MDP - DVI
