iPhone 11 Pro 11 pro max —> 12 pro ... cameras are same?

I’ve tried to research this but can someone correct me? I feel that going from an 11 pro max to a 12 Pro are basically the same cameras?!

I’m I losing it?

The 12 Pro has the new faster aperture on the 1x wide lens with the new glass for the lens as well, and also has improved OIS over the 11 Pro. In terms of focal lengths and sensors, the cameras are the same.
