I'm thinking of downsizing to the 6.1" from the 11 Pro Max. Any one else in this boat? What's your reason?

My biggest concern is battery life. If the 12 Pro has similar battery life to the 11 Pro Max I'm all in.

I would like to see a side to side comparison of the 6.1 to 6.7 device to make my decision. Like how much do I loose when watching an episode in full screen or reading a page on safari between those two sizes

I’m stepping down to the 6.1” Pro. I hate that by doing so I’m giving up the better camera but this 6.5” is just too big and cumbersome.

I think the fact that the new smaller Pro will be 6.1” instead of the 5.8” Pro will help with that decision as well. It’ll feel like less of a step down in terms of screen size.

I’ve been playing with my mom’s iPhone XR and I have to say it feels so much better in my hand. And I’m even more excited about the new 6.1” because it’ll have a smaller sized body than the XR/11 due to the smaller bezels.

I don't have the 11 pro max, but I feel like I cannot downsize it would difficulty especially if I keep the phone for the longterm (2-3 years).

This is going to be a tough choice for me!

I'm debating sticking to the 6.7 if it's the same overall dimension as the current 6.5.
On the other hand, I started a remote IT job this summer (and it's remote permanently, not just temp for covid), so I find myself not even using my phone as often. My iPad has become my primary media device, so I may opt for the portability of the 6.1.

I'll wait for the event and see the differences in battery life, camera, and other specs before making a final choice 😬

I made that mistake last year. Went from the XS Max to the 11 and never liked it. Ended up buying an 11 Pro Max halfway through the year. I’ll be getting the biggest available iPhone 12.

That’s what I was thinking but the return date is good for 14 days for iPhone isn’t it?
Yeh it’s the same 14 day return period.

Is it because of the screen size or the camera?
I want the pro max but getting it a month later is annoying. That also means you effectively have 10 months of usage before the next one comes out in 2021.

I bought a 11 pro max last year and had it for 3 days before returning and getting a regular size 11 pro.

Just didn't like the size, wasn't comfortable in the hand, the phone had 0 extra benefits over the standard 11 pro

the bigger screen has no benefit either, for example if you load messages, I can see my 10 most recent...load it on the pro max...10 of my most recent.
