Hello everyone,
After switching between a lot of digital audio workstations over the last year, in the end I settled back down with Reason 5. It is not a hugely CPU-demanding program so I think it would run fairly well on an 11" baseline MBA. It also runs more than fine on my 2.0 ghz macbook but i'd like a smaller computer for commuting. Since this will be the main use of the computer (day-to-day activity such as email, browsing etc will be fine anyway) i would like to know for sure if it handles it before I buy. Unfortunately they won't let me test it at the local apple store, so I'd thought maybe someone here could help me out by downloading the Reason 5 demo.
The download is available here:
http://www.propellerheads.se/download/ (the middle product, "Reason Demo For Mac".
If someone could then load the Kretsloppstest demo track, play it back somewhere around the middle of the track and post a screenshot (So I can see the DSP activity meter) that'd be great! Naturally I'm also curious if it hugely overloads the CPU or causes audio hiccups but that will be noticeable anyway
I understand this might take a few minutes to do so I'm more than happy to paypal a few dollars over to anyone that could help!
Once again to clarify, this is about the base 11" (1.4 ghz, 2gb ram).
Thanks in advance.
