Before I commit to an Ipad 2, one question for people who have them and a Canon t2i camera...

On the original Ipad , one couldn't import/decode the 1080p .mov files from the t2i with out jailbreaking it.

With its increased speed and the availability of imovie, can one now import the 1080p t2i movies into imovie and edit them?

I'd even be happy with just the ability to view and store them in the Photo app...

anyone want to try it out?

Thanks for any info!

I just tried to sync some videos onto my new iPad 2 and was told that they weren't transferred because they weren't compatible with the iPad, blah I haven't tried putting them on from the SD card reader but I imagine the result will be the same.

How did you do it with jail breaking?

I didn't jailbreak one myself (don't have one yet), just read about it.

It's a shame - apparently the iPad had enough power, Apple's just not allowing it (perhaps it's a battery drain...)

So it's a definite "no" on importing directly into the ipad2...

Anyone do an import of a 1080p .mov into iMovie (or does Apple cap importing at 720p?)?
