I have concerns regarding the battery life of my iPad 2. How much batter should streaming a 1:30 Netflix movie take?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

The first time you charge your iPad, the battery will be respectfully bad.

Just bring it down to 10% or until it's completely dead and then completely charge it.

I thought my iPad was a defect because the battery only lasted 4-5 hours, but after it died, I left it overnight in the wall, and the next day I used it for a full 8 hours on 40% brightness browsing the web, it finally died after 2:00 am, it lasted 14 hours.

Thanks for that info i just got mine recently and while the battery isn't bad it wasn't lasting 10 hours, nice to know there's a break in period

I don't use netflix, but mine uses around 10% battery when watching a 2 hour film, streamed from my pc, using StreamToMe.

It seems to me the battery is LESS then that of the iPad 1.. Or I am using it more and not realizing it. I need to check into a battery meter type app to monitor the usage.

Well in theory it should be slightly less as the new CPU uses more power than the old one.

Mine's really bad actually. Lasts about 4 hours even with airplane mode on and just using wi fi.

The battery to lower than 10% trick didn't really work at all.

That makes sense. I just used to get 3-4 days on my iPad and now I get 1.. If I am lucky it won't die before I am ready to charge. I didn't think it would be THAT big of a difference.
