So I noticed something on my iPad 2, and it is so small yet still bugs me to no end.

In the top left corner, in between the silver strip and the glass/white bezel, there is a black gap. It looks as though I tried digging something out of there with my fingernail.

What I think it is, is that the bezel and glass were not placed in correctly. Its a small gap, but very noticeable and bugs me because I payed 600 dollars for this thing.

Has anyone noticed anything else similar? I will probably return it and get a new one, it just sucks to take that chance with limited stock.

It's like this on most white iPad 2s. People will say they cant notice it but they arent OCD like us :D

So you have the same thing?

I can clearly see it is completely white, and then it tapers off to a small gap which becomes a larger one at the corner. It really looks bad :/

Yup its on my girlfriends(white)...mine is black

There is even a gap on my iPhone 4 at the top...looks like the glue came loose? No idea but it bothers you, compare it to the displays BEFORE you replace it.

Get it replaced. If you're not happy with the product, get one that youll find satisfactory.

yeah thats what I did, I went to an apple store and checked out the white displays and they looked fine. Much better than mine

My problem is I bought it at Best Buy... I will probably hold onto it until the 13th day haha

I checked mine and I have the white ... its flush with no gap all the way around the unit. Must be a bad glue job on your device ....

Just been searching for other people with this issue and found it the first place I looked :)

Picked my iPad up today by the corner and the skin of my thumb got caught in a gap round the very edge between the bezel and the metal. Cut my thumb open and it hurt like a b*tch

Going to take it back first thing tomorrow.
