After about a half hour of use of Firefox 4 i am getting up to 450mb of memory usage strictly for firefox. Is it supposed to be using up this much ram?

I am not too happy with it. Yes it's fast but I have had some issues with how hot it's running. Firefox version 3.6.15 runs at an average of anywhere from 35-41 degrees C on my 2011 MPB and when I installed version 4, with only one window open, it ran up to a constant 55 degrees. So I had to downgrade unfortunately. Firefox is still the coolest browser that runs on my computer.

Edit: I got something weird here. I got an update for firefox 3.6.16 and I am getting much cooler reading since it updated. I am getting around 31-34 degrees now.

I am not happy about it either. . . It quickly rises to over 500MB memory usage. I may try chrome or just use safari.
