yeah no kidding... they had no idea about it initially. Manager had to check his blackberry to see the change. Juist happend this morning

Great deal if you can find one. I called all of the CT stores (and a couple of MA stores) within driving distance from me, and none had any 16GB's left. Several stores still had 32GB's if you're interested in that. Not me. At the $400 price-point, I'm thinking $100 more gets you an iPad 2. But $300 for an older iPad? That's impulse buy territory.
Do I have to be a verizon customer. I called a few stores and they were out but one store said they could order it for me if I dropped by. However, he didn't mention if I had to be a verizon customer

You dont have to be a verizon customer. I just sent my wife to grab her one. $299 for the 16G WiFi. Couldnt pass it up. Now she can leave my Ipad 2 alone . I talked with a couple stores and they said they have been selling alot of them today, and most stores are sold out or close to it, ecspecially the 16G. My wife got the last 16G WiFi at the store she was in.

Im here waiting to pick one up for my aunt (they have 2 available). Can someone tell me why I have to sign in and wait to buy something that no one has interest in (I asked everyone ahead of me) at 8pm. Seriously 6 people ahead of me were interested in service related sales and walked away not buying anything. I can't believe in waiting for an iPad 1 lol.

The wife is not happy, but I scored a 16GB for $299 at VZW as well yesterday. From calling all over town, once the prices dropped, they flew off the shelves & I think I may have gotten the last one in North Atlanta.
Now I am debating what to do with it. I have 14 days to return it. I have two iPad 2s coming in for me & my wife, so I'm pondering the future of this one.
