Hi folks...

I've been using Palm Desktop software as my planner (I have not used an actual palm pilot in years though) and I'm wondering if its possible to import my palm calendar into iCal. An initial attempt yielded no result, but I'm wondering if palm has some export option that might help, or any other advice.

Thanks!
-Mike

Go into Palm Desktop (the one I used was 4.) and export out the calender as a VCard on the desktop

Open iCal. Import the VCard into iCal. Voila!

You can do similar with the address book also....

quick note-iCal is sluggish right now......

Actually it is called a VCal for calendars and Vcards for addresses. iCal will also take .ics Ical (no relation) files for import. I am dumping Palm desktop in favor of iCal. It is slow when changing something with multiple recurrances. Also if it crashes, sometimes the calendar is in a semiweird state, but is easily recovered. I wish there was a save feature, because it seems to use an autorecover type thing with its database of records. It does seem like it is using a database, though.

Let us know if that workds.
