tried to look for this on MR with no luck. i read a thread about it somewhere. if u know the thread or how to fix it. it's driving me mad!

no they are not songs from the iTunes store. all songs are checked and i have just restored it also. i have not idea what songs are the missing ones

Have you been getting "free" music lately? This happened to a friend of mine and he had a bunch of songs in iTunes that weren't on his iPod.

if you did buy albums from iTunes, it could be the CD covers...just a guess?

It'll count any music videos as "Songs" in the library, but won't be copied onto a non-video iPod...

Maybe you've got a few Vids?

i've actually had this before, where let's say i have 5 songs from an artist, and 2 of them have an Album name listed, but the other 3 do not. In my iPod Nano those 2 will show up, but the 3 without an album name will not, even when i select "Artist > All albums". I have to go into iTunes and put an album name in and they will appear on the Nano.

maybe something like that?

This has happened to me. But the songs do copy to the iPod. You won't find them by selecting Artist>Album, but if you go to Songs, that song would appear there.

To the OP. Maybe that songs that are not copying are corrupt, I wouldn't trust songs from Limewire. Try to identify which songs are the ones, and then you could see what the problems is.

Maybe it's because iTunes song counts include music videos, but the iPod counts music only and music videos are included in the videos count.

...I hope that makes sense:eek:

Have you tried resetting the warnings as I suggested above?

iTunes usually tells you why it isn't copying something over, until you tell it not to.
