I am looking to replace the thermal grease on my MBP du to some over-heating issues during gaming. Is it as risky as it sounds? I have done this on desktops but not laptops.

If digging into a desktop computer is like plumbing in a sink in your house; then digging into a laptop computer is like plumbing in a sink in a dollhouse.

It's tight.

I DID IT! I replaced the thermal paste and cleaned the vents (WAY clogged) and now it is about 40 degrees cooler. Even after playing games for about an hour the computer was still not too hot to touch.
