Just placed my order for this. After CA tax and environmental fee my total came out to $885.76. Check slickdeals for details.

Hahaha that's just crazy. A 24" for the price of Apple's 20". And to top it off you can buy TWO Dell 24" for the price of ONE Apple 23".

Apple should just drop out of the monitor business. I could understand the price disprenacies between Apple computers and Dell computers - the quality actually shows it, but the monitors? It's ridiculous.

Everyone is so Lucky. In Japan Dell has 15% off on all flat panel displays. However, the sale of the 2405 has been put off until March 28th. In other words you cannot even buy that screen in Japan right now. Maybe just as well, it was cheaper than Apples 23 in display in Japan, but it was not cheap, over 1500 US dollars before the stopped selling it. Apples 23 in cost about 1900 US dollars in Japan, so Dells was repeat was 400 dollars cheaper. BenQ and HP 23 in displays are about the same as Apples 23 in, even on sale. People living anyplace but Japan are sooo lucky on this Dell screen.

Sorry guys, but the deal looks dead now. Once it hits FW, you can generally kiss it goodbye.

I just checked right now, and it still appears to work... my dilemma is that I already have an extremely nice display (Sony SDM-P234 23" LCD 1920 x 1200) and am Dell-free... I don't really NEED this monitor, but the price is almost too good to refuse.

Received it yesterday. Here is a pic of my setup:

This really is amazing, but I'll stick with my 20 inch Apple Cinema. I don't have the desk space, for anything bigger.

They might as well stop making 15 and 17 inch displays. The huge displays are so cheap these days. :)
