Hi. I have a new MBP and am new to Apple computers. I recently tried to download a wmv. file and Quicktime could not recognize the file format. Can someone recommend a program that I can download to play wmv files. I hope there's something free available. Thanks.

I would also recommend getting Perian which will let you play many different types of files in QuickTime.
A good alternative to QuickTime is VLC Media Player which also plays a variety of different video types.
