iphone 4 worth buying if i have a broken 3g?

if you have a broken 3g, i would personally upgrade to the 16th iPhone 4. Its pointless to wait because there may not be a new iPhone till next june (I'm thinking February of next year) If you want the new one you could always full retail it and sell the old one.

You should just wait 3 more months and see. I don't see them releasing a new one next year, but rather with the iOS 5 launch. Buy a 3g/3gs off craiglist for now.

thats a decent option too, but craigslist isn't for everyone or just buy a nokia e72 (great phone) and wait for the new iPhone. you can grab an e72 for less than 200 on ebay UNLOCKED!

I would go for that for sure. iPhone 4 is a great device. I just got one in April because my 3GS needed to be replaced and haven't regretted it one bit. What is the point of waiting 3 months for something that is completely unknown.

Unless it's life or death to have an iPhone just wait a few months. You won't be at loss if you get one now, but the new one is pretty much for sure with release of iOS5 in the fall.

I don't see significant change in the "iPhone 5" from the iPhone 4. Sure, Apple will bump up the specs on the speed and camera but what much else can they do? Bigger screen? LED light(for notifications on the from side of the phone)? That's all I can think of. I don't a full redesign coming...

I would suggest you to wait for 2-3 months,till launching of new iPhone5. iPhone4 is also a good device.New version of iPhone must be have additional feature.
iphone 4 is a good phone. They will sell millions by time the new phone comes out in Sep/Oct. If it does not come out until next year, they will sell millions more of the 4.
I am sick of waiting my self and i have a 3gs 32gb. I started making calls to pickup a iPhone 4 32gb UNLOCKED and hope to possibly pick it up today.
Im kind of in a strange area where just 6 months ago i got 4 iPhone 3gs and now im sick of playing with ultrasn0w waiting for one of my phones to work.
I like they help people for free but im just not wanting to wait 3 more months before they get an unlock so now im replacing my phone with a 4 and then when the 4 comes out i will get 2 of them. Then i will give my iPhone 4 to my daughter.
Ya she really don't like the changed in iOS5 so it will work out better in the long run. Im getting unlocked ones because we do leave the country and i would love to just have my phone with me.

what if they just announce the iPhone 5 in the fall and it wont come out till February like the iPhone for verizon
these are questions that no one has the answer to. i dont think apple will go 20 months without updating their iphone 4 though. i think we will see iphone 5 this fall along with iOS 5.

I doubt it, they're marketing the IOS 5 feature for the iPhone 4 and iPad 2. They want to milk current hardware. But who knows

It won't be 2-3 months. From now to a probable late September release is closer to 4 months.
I'd be inclined to pick up a used ip4 off Craig's list and enjoy the next 1/3 of a year with a newish phone.
