3 was such a perfect ending to a great storyline. I hope they don't produce a fourth. It's time to develop a new concept.

This does not surprise me since someone in the industry thought it was a good idea to redo Footloose. Footloose! If they can make a hundred dollars over the cost of the movie, they will do it.

Cars 3 & 4, here we come!

(Does anyone remember when Pixar used to make original movies?)

Like the others who have already posted I think this is a bad idea. It seems like it's just squeezing an already great franchise dry when it doesn't need to be. It's already more or less time to think up something new.

3 maybe but certainly not 2!

I haven't seen 4 yet, but I am a fan of 3 over 2. I liked 1 the best with 3 in 2nd, and 2 in third. Now I liked all three Pirate movies I have seen so it isn't bad that 2nd came in last, but I liked 3 better.

As for Toy Story 4, I will look forward to it with great concern. The Toy Story trilogy kept on getting better as 2 and eventually 3 was released which is rare considering that the first is the best and the sequels never live up to the original. Toy Story 2 was good matching or even exceeding 1. Toy Story 3 again matched or even exceeded 1 and 2. I don't know how they are going to top 3. Especially since 3 was a nice way to end Toy Story. I would have preferred Disney to let 3 be the end of Toy Story.

Huh?

First Star Wars, now Toy Story? Why can't anyone ever stop at 3?!?!
To be perfectly fair, George Lucas is on record as saying he never envisioned just a three-film set. To tell the entire story he wanted to tell, it was planned out as nine total. Sadly, his execution of episodes 1-3 were horrible, and should be ever get around to episodes 7-9, they'll likely be worse.

Couldn't agree more. Stop while they are ahead. Lets come up with a new story!!!

Hollywood hasn't had a new idea in years. Plus, it's more profitable to make sequels and reboot other peoples' ideas rather than take a risk on something new.

Yes, but financially they did just fine, which sadly is the only thing so many film studios look at.

And they weren't all bad, but the acting, characters, plots and writing were absolutely awful. No, wait, they really were pretty bad.. Samual Jackson's character... Fart Windy or whatever, was the best and I don't even like Samual Jackson.

I wonder what the plot for the fourth one could possibly be? Andy returns from graduating college, gets married and has kids, then kids play with toys, then kids grow up and the whole story loops. Then they can have toy story 13250867 and can still make money off of the same old movie memorabilia.

Absolutely genius.

the sequel generation. just like the US population, the intelligence level of hollywood has gone WAY down. this is why there are sequels. Cause nobody knows how to write an original story more than once. The only ones doing a good job are the Cohen Brothers.
