Jeans too hot for summer so what pants can I wear that would be cooler, i have a pair of chords, that are 55% polyester, 45% cotton will those be cooler.

Tomorrow is going to be 30 Celsius tomorrow and I work outside and I must wear pants, so what would be cooler?

i find corduroy to be REALLY hot. Im not sure if a blend will help or hurt you, but I would probably stick with the jeans. Don't you have an old pair of chino or khaki pants? those are normally a lot lighter and cooler.

I used to have the most wonderful pants for summer in high school, but I can't find anything like them now. I will describe them in hopes of someone knowing something like them.

I believe they were from a store called Structure which then became part of the Express brand. I would guess they were a synthetic material. It was very, very thin, not soft necessarily, but so light--almost more crisp than soft. They were stretch at the waist with a bright orange cord that you pulled out and adjusted with some sort of doo-hickey. They had cargo pockets on the legs of the pant. This particular pair was khaki, and there was the neon orange highlight.

They sound kind of funky by description, but I found them quite stylish. I would have bought them maybe in 2000.

Anyone know what these type of pants are called?

I recommend a sarong.

Polyester in the summer? Really?

If anyone has a real suggestion, I'd love one. I work in an office but we're very laid back. Jeans and a button down or polo is the standard faire.

I recommend a sarong.

While my upper body would match, I don't like the sarong.

This forum is becoming a magnet for truly ridiculous questions...

"What should I wear, coz' it's hot?"

Do you REALLY need to ask? 😀

In the summer, I usually start wearing Khakis, Dockers, or other form of slacks. They allow the air to properly circulate, which is very nice.

Commando?

no doubt! and some sport sandals. and a big glass of iced tea.

unless this is a construction gig where you really don't want the up-kilt issues, then utilikilts with underbits and steel-toed-boots FTW. 😀

The Scotsman went commando, good enough for me.
