A GM release of OS X Lion was seeded to developers this afternoon, with a build number of 11A511, according to 9to5Mac. The developer site has since been taken down, with no explanation given.

A GM release is typically the final build before a piece of software ships to consumers. If no major bugs are found, Lion should be ready to go.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/9A5248d Safari/6533.18.5)

Oh boy! I was hoping for this today, dp4 has been so buggy. Maybe another iOS 5 beta before days end.

Whoever installs it first, which version of iTunes does it include? Thanks.

Well I've been using Lion DP4 as my daily OS since its release, so I might as well wait until the official release.

here's to hoping they don't get rid of features like they did to FCPX :p

With this version everything is easier, but you will no longer be able to surf the internet. Or open any files you created while using any previous software...it is that much of an improvement.

The dev site isn't down. I got in to get my Lion code with ease. The site wasn't even slow.

There are no Change Notes though.
