MAC Address Question

I use a G Tech Q as a back-up to my iMAC. Does my G Tech have its own distinct 'MAC address' from the iMAC?

A MAC address is a unique identifier for network interfaces, and as far as I can see, the G Speed Q does not have one.

But if it would have one, it would have a unique MAC address differing from the ones your iMac has )one MAC address for the WiFi adapter, one for the Ethernet adapter and one for the Bluetooth adapter), as no real MAC address is existing twice on this planet.

No. That appears to be a USB/Firewire hard drive. MAC addresses belong to ethernet ports (and WiFi adaptors).
