I have been looking up different rotating cases for an iPad Pro 12.9, but I’m honestly not attracted to the majority of what’s offered.

Still, if I want the freedom to use my iPad in portrait or landscape mode easily, should I get a case with rotating features built in, or get whatever case I want along with a portable stand like the Compass 2?

You could look into a keyboard that holds the iPad in either orientation - maybe something like the Logitech K780 or 480 (not sure if the 12.9 fits there in landscape).

I use the Logitech slim Combo most of the time as I use my iPad mostly in landscape - except for when I’m reading on the couch, but personally I don’t keep the Logi’s keyboard attached then.
